We are seekers and meaning makers. Persistent emotional pain, whether deep grief or simple frustration, comes from how we interpret our experiences. This is true whether the experiences are internal or external. Personal growth through self-counseling and coaching has everything to do with looking carefully at how you're seeking and creating meaning by interpreting your experiences.
Interpretation is a verb before it's a noun. We have an interpretation (noun) of an experience based on how we interpreted (verb) that experience. In other words, what you believe about your experiences, comes from the process you went through to assign meaning to them. No experience is joyful or painful without interpretation, because no experience has meaning without interpretation.
The process of interpretation is what we'll mostly be talking about in this intensive. Interpretation is a knowable process. When we know how we interpret as thinking beings, we can also know how to improve our interpretation, and therefore change our experience, creating a new perspective that brings increased understanding, possibilities, hope, and joy.
There are three main parts to this intensive.
Part I begins on the next page and contains the unique perspective of The Curated Soul approach to growth. You'll download two .pdf files: one a Virtual White Board and the other a Notebook for notes and reflections. There are audio files to walk you through the material in digestible bites. You won't need to print either .pdf, but you may want to. I do suggest something on hand to take notes if you choose not to print the notebook.
Part II will help you apply what you've learned to the Three Paths of Self-examination, Self-leadership, and Self-expression.
Part III will take you through the Soul Stances of The Curated Soul. Each path is a different approach to growth and therefore each has a logical stance you take to counsel or coach yourself. The Soul Stances will help you tap into the best parts of your character and strengths at the right time.
That's the overview! To begin you'll need:
♦ some quiet time... rearranging your brain around new ideas takes some space.
♦ for the best experience, preferably a computer rather than a phone.
